We Love Books!

I am so happy that one of my girls' favorite things to do is "read"! We go to storytime at least three times a month and regularly visit the library. From the time they were little babies, I would read to them and show them pictures in books. This all stems from MY love to read. It's something I really wanted to pass along to my girls.

The first thing they do when they wake up is ask for their books. They "read" them while I dry my hair and then get their breakfast ready. It's so cute when they "read" their book to their dolls or stuffed animals. And Hannah's memory is so good that she can recite a couple of books by heart. If you are reading to her and make a mistake, she will quickly correct you! Of course sometimes we do this just for fun!

I hope that they continue to share this love for books - I imagine it will help them in school. But almost as important, I hope it will give them a place to escape and learn about people and places. Books are one of my best friends!
