Welcome to my world of twin girls! It's definitely double trouble but I never forget my double blessings!

Such Different Personalities

From birth, we could tell our girls might be twins but their personalities were very different! Emma is a sleeper. When she was a baby, she'd often fall asleep while we were feeding her a bottle! She slept through the night first, did a great job of transitioning to her big girl bed and will stay in her bed until we get her.

Hannah is another story. From early on, she was difficult to get to sleep. I'd have to walk with her every night, rocking her, bouncing her, patting her and trying to hold in her pacifier at the same time. This would go on at least an hour every night. Fast forward to her big girl bed and my little Hannah is still a challenge! The first two weeks in her new bed were a breeze. I smugly thought we had it made and wondered why people had such a difficult time with the transition.

Then it hit - "mama, mama, MAMA!!" She started calling out and saying her blankets were messed up, she couldn't find one of her stuffed animals, she needed another kiss, etc. I immediately offered her stickers for sleeping through the night and an ice cream reward once she had earned 10 stickers. It worked off and on but then she actually got OUT of bed a few times.

Oh, does this girl love to test us! Luckily I'm more stubborn than she is. Today Emma got her first ice cream reward and Hannah had to watch her eat it. It's hard to watch one girl get a reward while the other one does not but Hannah had her choice and chose not to listen. I am hoping that this will encourage Hannah to listen and earn her stickers. In fact, before her nap today, she said "mama, I'm going to sleep, sleep, sleep and get my sticker!" Let's see if that attitude "sticks" or not!
